working at subaru is no joke. it's crazy how the contestants can stand for so long. in the rain and in the sun. when the event started, i somehow knew that this year would be different. not just cos' there'll be a female and a male winner, but cos' of the experiences i'll go through.
just by standing for one night, i can't feel my legs now. i really salute the contestants for their strength and physique.
the 2nd night was rough as it was pouring. the thunderstorm really didn't make our jobs any easier. we had umbrellas. but i got lazy. so yeah, i was drenched. i was also busy looking out for PJ who was freaking scared due to the lightning. phobia... tell me about it.
it's scary what that enurance challenge can do to you. lotsa freakish things. hallucinating, stoning, muscle cramps, gastric, water retention.... it's madness! takes a real winner to survive a challenge like that. oh, and i'm saying this cos' i chased a female contestand down orchard road. she was hallucinating and thought i was going to kill her. she almost beat me up too! freaky shit! but i'm happy to report that she's alright now.
congratulations to Sandra Yeow & Kevin Lim for being the last woman and last man standing at the Mediacorp Radio Subaru Impreza Challenge 2007. Sandra emerged as the grand prize winner! girl power! the winners broke the record and survived 77 hours 15 mins in the rain, sun and even a thunderstorm! but i'd still like to say that all the other contestants still did a fantastic job and i salute their courage and determination for giving their best. also applauding the marshals for showing their responsibility and for helping out in the event, also in the rain, sun and even a thunderstorm. kudos to all!
now that subaru's out of the way, the next thing to look forward to will be camps starting next week. no thanks to disappointing news about iag2. but i'm sure i'll find a way around it. am definitely disappointed that i cant get to coach iag2. thank you for wanting to give me your place. i appreciate your intentions. but i want you to have fun. and i am very proud of you.
long weekend ahead!
deepavali visit tomorrow. as much as i'm excited for all the great food i'll get to have my taste buds on, i've a strong feeling it'll all kill me cos' it'll be spicy. i hope not!
having lunch with Xing Hui on friday afternoon. not sure who else will be there cos' she's going to do the calling. thanks for the invite babe!
the rest of the weekend? besides dinner with the famiy, i've no idea. but just in case anything comes up, i hope i'll have fun with no tears.... for a change.
