I am super pissed at my Brother's computer. I was blogging half way when it blacked out on me. And for your information, I typed a lot before it did that. So I did it the second time. And it hung on me! But I refuse to sleep without blogging about what I wanted to blog about. Stupid hunkajunk piece of technology you!

Anyway, there are only 2 words to describe this week.... ROLLERCOASTER RIDE. It's amazing how many things have happened and changed through this week. It kinda made me think back on how I was and how I am now.... it's been a pretty huge difference. And I'm really proud to say that I'm someone who's bold, mature and confident.
Bold because I now dare to do many things I didn't. When I used to hang out with friends, I never dared to open myself and truly be myself or speak my mind. I used to be scared of just even making friends. Especially after what happened 3 years ago, I never dared to be around people and never dared to trust people. But now, I can be myself most of the time. I won't say most of the time because I think it's still a learning process and there's still lots to learn.
Mature... hmmm... I won't dare say I'm the most mature person, but I dare say that I can handle many things in a more mature manner than some people I know. Plus I'm only 19! How mature do you expect me to be. But I feel that there's many people I know who are not mature enough for their age. I think I am a lot more mature than how I used to be. I think that is already something good cos not everyone are able to change who they are that easily.
Confident because I believe I can do many things. Just that I admit, I get a tad too lazy to get down to it. But I know if I put my mind into it, I can do anything I want and be that good at it. And I'm a lot more secure about myself, unlike some people I know. I think I didn't used to be like that. That's why, this kinda changes is good. And there's still a lot to learn.

Speaking of learning, I learn something new everyday. But I learn something special everyday this week. And it's from people who are always there for me and whom I respect the most. People like Herbert, Elliot, Nurun, Michelle and my amazingly wonderful parents!

My parents taught me a lot about myself when they had a serious talk with me this week. I know how we always dread having this kinda talks with our parents. But I think that they must love you enough to sit you down and be honest with you about yourself. And it's comforting to know that they'll always love you no matter who and what you become. And I learnt never to take them for granted. Not that I do, but I remind myself to continue not to take them for granted. They're the best!
Thanks Mummy and Daddy! Mummy, you know I love you no matter how naggy you get and Daddy, I love you no matter how drunk you get. =)

Herbert is one of the sweetest guys I know. His trigger-happy ways always cheers me up and he's so huggable! Anyway, he did me one of the biggest favours this week. He opened my eyes to help me see things that I didn't used to see. Now I'm much clearer of the things and the people around me. Although I'm still healing that broken heart and still getting over it, I'm glad he did what he did. Like I said, you must love someone enough to be honest with them. And now that I know the truth, I learn to see things in a different light now. If not for him, I would still be kept in the dark.
Thanks Bro! You know I love you and will always be there for you... just like you've been for me. You've become part of my life and I cannot imagine life without you. I'm proud to go round announcing that Herbert Liu (not Aristotle!) is my Big Bro! This shows how important you are to me. I know I can count on you no matter what. You can count on me too!

Elliot taught me what 'antlers' are, how to defend myself, and how 'good' Amsterdam beer is... I'm kidding although that's quite true (in that tone Herbert and Elliot always use). On a more serious note, Elliot has taught me how unpredictable life can be. And I really salute Elliot for being able to deal with things so well. He's taught me to be magnaminous and to forgive. Although I'm not sure if he's forgiven but he's taught me to never let things affect what you do in life. Which I think is very important for I always allow things to affect what I do. But now, I will do my best to not let that happen anymore. He's really someone I look up to a lot. I also learn to tell him when Sharon's going to the party he could've gone to as soon as possible, and not to wait till the party's over.
Thanks Elliot! You are someone I really look up to. You know I love you no matter how crappy you get. You never fail to cheer me up. My life would be truly different without you. You've taught me many lessons about myself and my life. Without you, I may be a different person than who I am now. To me, you're an important person... ALWAYS!

Nurun and I met up for dinner at VivoCity on Friday night. We spent most of the night chilling at the deck. She was sitting up while I was lying very comfortably doing my best not to fall asleep. It's always fun hanging out with Nurun. She's taught me that in life, you always have to take a risk. And if I wanna do something but am afraid it'll end up with nothing, but at the same time, I don't wanna not do it and miss out on anything that could've been, take that risk. Although I never like to be in that kinda situations, I've learnt how to handle them better now. I learnt that in everything you do, it involves a certain level of risks. You may make the wrong choices, but what's important is that you learn from it.
Thanks Funky Monkey! It's always so fun chilling and talking crap with you! You know I won't be able to party to the fullest without you. I know for sure without a doubt that I can put my full trust in you. And it's so great to be able to be honest with someone, especially you. Thanks for listening all the time and you know I'll be there for you no matter what anytime, anywhere, anyplace. Simply because I love you a lot!

Michelle my belle. She's one busy woman! I've been calling her up a few times this week but I'm jinxed to always call her at the wrong time. She's just so hard to catch up with! So I feel like the luckiest girl in the world because she was beside me and holding my hands tonight. Herbert, Stella, Elliot, Denise and Gordan were there too. It's so fun hanging out with them. And trust me, missing ZoukOut to hang out with them is all worth it! Michelle has taught me that no matter what, death is something that happens to everyone. And I know death is a sad topic but the thing I learnt is before death strikes, what matters is that you cherish what you have and live life as happy as possible. That struck me because I can't say I've been doing that for myself. But now I will do my best to. And I also learnt that the best Long Island Tea in Singapore is at Mandarin Hotel! Haha... no worries. I'm not gonna get it anytime soon.
Thanks Belle! I'm really happy to be able to spend time with you tonight. It's so easy to talk to you. And I think you really made a difference in my life. You're like the big sister I never had! So now, I shall declare that Michelle Leong is my new Big Sis! (this is the part you say 'I accept' =p) It's always great to have you around! Thanks for being there, and do know I'm there for you too and I love you lots!

After learning so much, I can literally feel my brain expanding! Haha! I suddenly feel a lot lighter and at ease. Thanks to all these great people! Biggest lesson learnt (not now but since the beginning)... life would've been different without them.
